Tanker 2 arrival

Today members from HVFD received the newest addition to our fleet of apparatus, Tanker 2. Tanker 2 is a Kenworth / Pierce Tanker and carries 3,000 gallons of water. In keeping with fire department traditions, members accepted delivery and pushed the unit into the firehouse for the first time. After pushing the tanker in, members gather for dinner.
Over the next several weeks, equipment will be installed and members will under go training on the operation and use of the unit. Once complete, the unit will be placed into service and begin responding to calls throughout Hughesville, Charles County and the local area.
