Hughesville Little League Opening Day
By Safety Officer Brad Saunders
April 11, 2026
On April 11, Hughesville Little League invited Hughesville Volunteers to participate in their opening day ceremonies.
Engine Tanker 2 responded to Oak Ridge Park, where volunteers engaged with balls players and provided demonstrations of the equipment on Engine Tanker 2. At approximately 9 a.m., Engine Tanker 2 led the parade of players from the staging area to Field 8 for the opening ceremony.
After the ceremony concluded, volunteers remained at the park to allow additional children to tour the unit before returning to the station.
Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services thank Hughesville Little League for the opportunity to lead the opening day parade and look forward to future opportunities to engage local youth.
