Structure Fire; Second Fire on NYE

On December 31st at approximately 3:07PM, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to the 6900 block of Carrico Mill Road for the Structure Fire. Chief 2, Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2, Brush 2, and Paramedic Ambulance 2 made the response.
Engine Tanker 2 arrived on scene to find an approximate 10x16 shed fully involved with fire and extension into the wood line. Engine Tanker 2 deployed an attack line on the garage while Brush 2 began attacking the brush fire.
Mechanicsville Squad 2 arrived on scene and assisted with opening up the shed and extinguishment.
Tanker 2 supplied Engine Tanker 2 with water, while Mechanicsville Tanker 2 supplied Brush 2 to assist with the spreading brush fire. The fire was contained in approximately 10 minutes. The incident commander, Chief 2, reduced the assignment to Hughesville and Mechanicsville. Units operated on the scene for an hour before returning to service.
