On May 22nd at 950PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Waldorf for the commercial Structure Fire on Old Washington Road in the area of Trade Zone Ct. Squad 2 and Chief 2 made the response. First arriving units from Waldorf located the fire but had trouble finding access due to multiple fences and commercial buildings in the area. Squad 2 arrived and was assigned to cut fences to access the fire. Units located multiple auto’s and a trailer well off. Units from Waldorf, Prince George’s County, La Plata and Hughesville worked to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. Hughesville units operated for approximately 90 minutes before responding to a second working fire in Waldorf.
