Hall of Fame Inductee
By HVFDEMS PIO
April 29, 2024
This past weekend, Gerald (Antwan) Thomas, was inducted into the Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman's Association Hall of Fame. With over 30 years of service to the Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, he has held almost every officer position within the fire division including Deputy Fire Chief. Antwan has been a role model for many members throughout the years and an integral part of our success since 1993. His dedication and commitment to the fire service and his community has earned him this recognition. He is well respected by his peers throughout the Southern Maryland area, and is always good for a smile. He promotes community involvement and ensures Santa sees all of the Hughesville community every year.
Thank you for your service, and congratulations on a job well done!
