On October 14th, 2023 at approximately 1252 hours, Engine 22, Squad 2, Battalion Chief 2C responded to a motor vehicle collision reported one overturned on Olivers Shop Road in the area of Burnt Store Road. Chief 2C and Engine 22 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle approximately 20 feet off the roadway on its side. The driver of the vehicle self-extricated and fled the scene prior to the arrival of responding units. The scene was turned over to local law enforcement and Hughesville Volunteers cleared the scene.
