Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department is seeking motivated individuals that are looking to assist their communities. We are seeking individuals to fill all aspects of of our department. No experience or prior training required. Opportunities include becoming a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic or Administrative, Support or Auxiliary team member. All training is free of charge.

   Some of the requirements to become a member are:

  • A minimum of 16 years old
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • If attending high school must obtain a work permit (16 and 17 year olds)
  • A will to serve the citizens of Charles County
  • Attendance at Thursday night drills and business meetings
