Vehicle Fire

On August 23rd at 10:53 PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 5400 block of Notched Beak Court for a Vehicle Fire. Engine 22 and Engine Tanker 2 responded. Engine 22 arrived on scene to find a work van with heavy fire in the engine compartment extending into the passenger compartment. The van was used for HVAC work and contained several canisters of various refrigerants. Engine Tanker 2 arrived moments later and provided manpower and additional water supply. Units extinguished the fire and opened the van to salvage the owners work equipment.
