Motor Vehicle Collision with Extrication

On August 14th at 2:52 AM Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Benedict for the motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped on Prince Frederick Road at Whistling Winds Pl. Squad 2 responded. While responding Calvert Chief 2A arrived on scene and found a single vehicle off the roadway with the occupant trapped under a tree. Squad 2 and Prince Frederick Squad 2 arrived and quickly began extrication by removing the tree from on top of the vehicle and removing the roof of the vehicle. During extrication, Rescue Engine 52 arrived and assisted with manpower. Upon completion of the extrication, the occupant was loaded in Ambulance 58 and transported to the landing site where Maryland State Police Trooper 2 transported the occupant to a local hospital.
