Contract for New Squad 2 Signed

On January 27th at 1900 hours, President Steve Cook met with Mr. Jim Featherstone, President of RedStorm Fire & Rescue Apparatus, Inc, to sign the contract for the new Squad 2. RedStorm is the local vendor for CustomFire Apparatus, Inc, of Osceola Wisconsin, the builder of the new Squad 2.

The new Squad will be constructed on a Spartan Gladiator chassis with a tandem rear axle. The stainless steel walk-in rescue body is 26 foot in length. Additionally the unit will have the following:

Roll-Tek rollover occupant protection system
500 HP Cummins ISXX11.9 diesel motor
Allison Gen IV-E automatic transmission
Multiplexed Electrical wiring with two VMUX Vista display screen
David Clark intercom system
6 Hurst Reels
2 Electric Reels
1 Air Reel
4 6000psi bottle cascade system
35KW Onan Protec Generator
Will Burt Nightscan light tower with six lights
300 GPM Waterous CPK-2 pump
200 Gallon water tank
LED emergency lighting package
12,000 pound winch on front and rear
9.000 pound portable winch for left and right sides
