On July 26, 2010 at 10:14AM, Squad 2 was alerted to the 2700 block of Mattawoman Beantown Road for the working house fire. Squad 2 (McPherson) responded with 4 personnel and was assigned the primary search when they arrived. After the search was negative, the crew assisted with opening up the walls and ceilings to access the fire still burning in the attic. The squad crew assisted the Fire Marshal when she arrived and then assisted with salvage and overhaul. The squad operated on the scene for approximately two and a half hours. Chief 3 (Hayden) had the command.

Firefighters from Waldorf, Westlake, Brandywine, Clinton, LaPlata, Baden and Hughesville operated on this fire.
