On July 16, 2010 at 2:10 AM, Hughesville Fire and EMS was alerted to the 12,000 block of LaPlata Road for the auto accident with injuries. Engine 22 (Myers), Ambulance 28 (Duranske) and Paramedic Ambulance 168 all responded at dispatch with 9 personnel. Units arrived to find a single vehicle, rollover accident with one patient. The patient was evaluated, packaged and flown to an area trauma center by United States Park Police Eagle 2. Engine 22 handled the landing site in a nearby field. Units operated on the scene for approximately one hour.
