Barn Fire

On November 16th at approximately 11:50 pm, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to Bryantown Rd for the barn fire. Chief 2, Chief 2A, Engine Tanker 2 and Tanker 2 made the response.

Units arrived on scene to find an approximate 15' x 15' garage fully involved with fire. The structure was completely destroyed. There was some minor extension to the surrounding trees/brush along with some minor damage to a nearby residence.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the assignment has scaled back to Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2, Waldorf Engine 32 and Westlake Truck 12.

Hughesville units operated on the scene for approximately 90 minutes before turning the scene over to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
