On February 5th at approximately 2042 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 15500 block of Brandywine Road in Prince George's County for the Structure Fire. Tanker 2 was requested and responded. While responding units from PG County arrived on scene to find a working fire in a single family home. Tanker 2 arrived a short time later and staged in line of approach until the requested was made to drop the 3000 gallons of water Tanker 2 carries, into a portable tank. Once the water was dropped off, Tanker 2 was placed in service. Tanker 2 returned to the station and refilled. Tanker 2 operated on the incident for approximately 2 hours.

2 minutes after the PG house fire was dispatched, at approximately 2044 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 26600 block of Alexandra Way in Hollywood, St Mary's County for the working house fire. Squad 2 made the response. While responding to this incident, first arriving units found a working house fire in a detached shed. A short time later the fire was brought under control and Squad 2 was placed in service.

After returning to quarters, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted at 2131 hours to the 3400 block of Fordington Place in Waldorf for the Multi-Family structure fire. Squad 2 made the response. While responding, Waldorf Volunteers arrived on scene to find a working fire on the deck of the residence. A quick attack was performed and the fire was brought under control with out extension. Squad 2 was placed in service and returned to quarters.

Hughesville Volunteers maintained multiple crews to provide services to our community and surrounding communities.
