On August 13th at 3:45 PM, Hughesville Volunteers along with surrounding departments were alerted to the 5700 block of Ted Bowling road for the structure fire. Chief 2, Chief 2A, Engine 22, Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 2 responded. Chief 2 arrived on scene to find a lawn mower on fire behind a garage. Engine 22 arrived and extinguished the fire while Engine Tanker 2 and Tanker 2 staged. Once the fire was extinguished units cleared the scene.
