At approximately 11:22 AM on August 11th, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 900 block of Copley Avenue in Waldorf for the house fire. Engine 22 made the response. Waldorf arrived on scene with smoke showing. Upon arrival Engine 22’s crew was assigned the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) functions and set up in the front yard of the residence. Once the fire was extinguished the crew was released and returned to quarters.
