| At 1902 hours Squad 2 (Chief 2A Herbert) was alerted and responded at dispatch to the 12000 block of Provident Drive, Bel Alton's Co. 10's first due, for the house fire. EMS Duty 16A was in the area and advised Communications that there was heavy fire on side "Charlie" with extension into the attic area. At this report Chief 10B requested two additional tankers and Tanker 2 (Chief 2B Mercure) was alerted and responded at dispatch.
First arriving, La Plata's Engine 11 advanced a hand line to side "Alpha". Squad 2 arrived and the crew was advised to try to gain access to the basement through side "Charlie". Due to the fast progression of the fire "Command" sounded the evacuation tones as the roof began to collapse. After accountability check crews switched to an exterior attack.
Station 2 was also alerted to set up the LZ for Trooper 7 at the Dentsville Rescue Squad. Engine 23 (Sgt. Doering) responded. The medevac was requested to transport a burned civilian from the fire scene.
