| On Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:20AM, Hughesville EMS was alerted to Golden Beach Road and Three Notch Road in St. Mary's County for the auto accident with injuries. Moments later, Squad 2 was alerted to the call as additional callers reported one person trapped. Squad 2 (McPherson) and Paramedic Ambulance 27 responded at dispatch with 6 personnel. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 27 arrived to find a two vehicle side impact collision with one person trapped. The squad crew stabilized the vehicle and began removing the driver's door to free the victim, while the squad officer determined the number of patients and relayed this information to St. Mary's Communications. After the victim was extricated, Paramedic Ambulance 27 handled the transport to a local hospital. No other patients were transported. Squad 2 operated on the scene for approximately 25 minutes. |
