On May 19th just before 5PM, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to Robinson Farm Place in Benedict’s first due for the structure fire. Chief 2A, Engine 22, Tanker 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 made the response. Chief 2A was first arriving and found a camper on fire threatening a barn and a shed. Chief 2A established command.

Engine 22 arrived as the first suppression unit and laid out the line. Tanker 2 arrived shortly after and picked up the supply line. Engine 22 quickly began extinguishing the fire.

Mechanicsville Engine 21, Benedict Rescue Engine 5 assisted upon arrival. Waldorf Tower 3 arrived later in the incident and assisted with overhaul. Units operated together for approximately an hour and a half.
