Hughesville Volunteers and multiple units from Charles County, St Mary’s County and Calvert Counties are on the scene of a large brush fire in the area of McDonough High School. Forestry has been requested and multiple units be be responding through the area to contain the fire. Please yield to responding emergency vehicles.

Although the Statewide burn ban for Maryland was lifted, citizens are urged to refrain from burning due to the ongoing dry and wind conditions.
