At approximately 9:42 am, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Hopewell Place for the Structure Fire. Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2, and Squad 2 made the response. La Plata VFD arrived on scene with fire showing.
Hughesville units arrived on scene and Squad 2 was assigned to complete a primary search of the basement. Once complete, the crew assisted with opening up exterior walls on the Bravo and Charlie sides of the structure.
Units operated on the scene for just over an hour before being released by command.
