On March 15th at 7:11 am, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Crain Highway and Mattawoman Drive in Waldorf for the Motor Vehicle Collision with people trapped. Engine 22 responded to the scene. While responding Waldorf Squad 3 arrived on scene confirming people trapped and began extrication. Engine 22 arrived as the extrication was completed. Engine 22 was assigned to handle the landing site for Maryland State Police Trooper 2. Crain Highway was closed and Trooper 2 landed on the scene of the collision. Both patients were transported by Trooper 2 to area hospitals and Engine 22 cleared the scene.
