On April 13th at 0900, Hughesville VFD was honored to lead the HBA's parade behind the honor guard to opening day events. Engine 21, Engine 22 and Tanker 2 participated in the event. On April 13th at midnight, Hughesville Volunteers along with Waldorf VFD and the North Medical Duty Officer were alerted to Leonardtown Road and Wolfe Drive, in Hughesville for the motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. On March 31st at approximately 11pm, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to Prince Frederick Road and Siesta Fields Place for the motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped. On March 16th at approximately 649PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Old Leonardtown Road for the motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 made the response. Units arrived on scene and located the operator of the motorcycle deceased from injuries he sustained. On 3/12/2024 at approximately 1405 hours, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to the 15300 block of Woodville Road for the structure fire. Chief 2A, Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2 and engine 22 responded. Engine Tanker 2 and Chief 2A arrived to find the trailer portion of a tractor trailer fully involved. The trailer was being used as storage.
