Working House Fire in St. Mary's County

On June 18, 2007 at 2:42AM Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Holmes Road in Golden Beach for the house fire. Engine 23 responded and was the first arriving engine, behind St. Mary's Chief 2B (Kidwell) with a fully involved house. Engine 23's crew pulled the 400' "leader line" and began attacking the fire. Mechanicsville Engine 24 arrived next, supplied Engine 23 and advanced another attack line. Units from Hughesville, Mechanicsville, Benedict, Waldorf and Hollywood operated on the scene for a little over two hours.
