On January 14 at approximately 1228 hours, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to Hardship Farm Pl for the brush fire. Chief 2, Engine 24, Tanker 2 and Engine Tanker 2 made the response. Units arrived on scene to find a corn field on fire. Units quickly extinguished the fire and scaled the assignment back while they mopped up hot spots. In total approximately 3 acres of land were burned. Chief 2 held the command.
