On December 31 at 3:15 PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Burnt Store Road for the motor vehicle collision. Squad 2, Engine 24, Battalion 2C and Paramedic Ambulance 28 responded. Units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle into a utility pole. The occupant was not transported via ambulance. As a result of the collision, an electrical line caused a small brush fire which was quickly extinguished. In addition a nearby residence was damaged as the overhead lines connected to the pole broke from the house. Units operated on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.
