On March 15th at approximately 1223 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 7600 block of Leonardtown Road for the smoke investigation. Chief 2, Chief 2A, Engine 22, Engine 24, and Tanker 2 responded. Units arrived on the scene to find light smoke and fire conditions in a vacant house that had previously fire damage. Chief 2A established the command and units quickly extinguished the fire. Command requested assistance from the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. Units operated on the scene for approximately one hour before clearing.
