On March 9th at approximately 1:30 pm, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to St Mary’s County for the structure fire. Units responded to the area of Hornets Ln for the shed fire. Mechanicsville VFD arrived and discovered a 10' x 15' shed fully involved with a vehicle inside and possible exposure to a house. Engine 22 and Tanker 2 arrived on scene to assist. Tanker 2 supplied the fire ground with water and the engine remained in staging until released by command.
