On December 24th at approximately 643PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 27000 Block of Budd’s Creek Road in Mechanicsville for the structure fire. Squad 2 made the response. While responding Chief 17 arrived on scene to find a 75x25 barn fully involved on the Potomac Motor Speedway property. Upon arrival squad 2 assisted with overhaul as the structure was a complete loss. Squad 2 operated for a few hours before being released from the scene.
