On October 30th at approximately 628PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 39000 block of Mason Drive in Mechanicsville for a house fire. Engine 22 and Tanker 2 made the response. Mechanicsville Volunteers arrived on scene and confirmed a working house fire. Engine 22 arrived and stretched a second line to Division 2 to back up Mechanicsville. Units quickly brought the fire under control. Tanker 2 dropped a load of water and refilled. Command reduced the assignment and held Mechanicsville and Hughesville Volunteers.
