On July 28th at approximately 7:19 am, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Budds Creek Road and Sarum Manor Rd in Newburg for the motor vehicle collision with people trapped. Engine 22 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 made the response. While responding, additional units arrived on scene and confirmed entrapment. A short time later a helicopter was requested to transport a patient from the scene. Upon arrival Engine 22 was assigned the landing site. The helicopter was requested to land on the scene of the collision. Trooper 7 responded and transport the patient to an area hospital for treatment.
