On September 8th at 340PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 8900 block of Flour Court in Waldorf for a house fire. Waldorf Units arrived on scene of a two story single family home with smoke showing. Squad 2 responded after clearing a call nearby. Upon arrival Squad 2 was assigned to conduct a secondary search of the residence to ensure all occupants were accounted for. While completing the search the fire was determined to be a kitchen fire and was brought under control by first arriving units. After completion of the search squad 2 was released from the scene.
