At approximately 12:16 PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 27000 block of Burch Manor Circle in Mechanicsville for the working house fire. Engine 22, Engine Tanker 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 responded. Mechanicsville Units arrived on scene to find fire showing and began suppression efforts. Engine 22 arrived on the scene a short time later and was assigned as the RIT team and staged in the front yard. Paramedic Ambulance 28 arrived and treated a burn patient from the house. After assessment it was determined the patient needed to be flown by helicopter to a burn center. Once the fire was under control, Engine 22’s crew assisted with salvage and overhaul before clearing the scene. Engine Tanker 2 staged and was released shortly after arriving.
