On March 4th at 4:37 PM Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to the 13000 Block of Shrewbury Court in Dentsville for the house fire. Engine 22, Engine Tanker 2 and Chief 2 responded. Chief 17A was first arriving and found fire showing from the "Bravo" side of the structure. St. Mary’s Squad 2 arrived followed by Engine 22 and Engine Tanker 2. Units worked quickly to extinguish a fire that started after the homeowner had propane appliances serviced at the residence. Once the fire was extinguished, units checked for extension and completed overhaul. Chief 2 held command while units operated on the scene for just over a hour.
