On December 20th at 12:29 AM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted for mutual aid to St. Mary’s County Three Notch Road (MD-235) in the area of Charlotte Hall School Road for the motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped and a car on fire. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 responded. While responding St Mary’s Chief 2 arrived on scene with a two vehicle collision both vehicles involved with fire. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 arrived as St. Mary’s Chief 2 advised one fatality and while the other occupants were being evaluated by EMS. Squad 2 and paramedic ambulance 28 were placed in service from the scene.
