On October 29th at 3:15 AM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Saw Mill Road in Calvert County for a house fire with people trapped. Engine Tanker 2 responded shortly after dispatch. Units on scene report fire on three sides of the building and one occupant unaccounted for. A short time later evacuation tones were sounded removing all firefighters from the building due to deteriorating conditions and no water supply. Engine Tanker 2 arrived on the scene and was assigned as the 6th tanker in line. A short time later while in staging, command advised the fire was knocked and they could release some tankers. Engine Tanker 2 was released from the scene. All occupants were accounted for and uninjured.
