On May 3rd at approximately 2:36pm, Volunteers from the Hughesville Vol. Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on Olivers Shop Road between Edelen & Burnt Store Road. Rescue Squad 2 arrived on scene and found one of the vehicles off the road approximately 10 feet and pinned against several trees with the occupant trapped inside. Rescue Squad 2 quickly went to work and was able remove the front fender and drivers side door within minutes. The patient was transported by PA 27 to T.C Martin Elementary where the landing site was established. The patient was transported to a local trauma facility by MSP Trooper 7.
