Engine, Tanker and Medic on Working Fire In Mechanicsville

At approximately 1744 hours Fire and EMS 2 was alerted for the working house fire on Old Village Road in Mechanicsville. Eng 22 and PA27 responded at dispatch and Tanker 2 responded shortly after. Upon arrival the engine crew assisted MVFD Co. 2 units with extinguishment of the fire. Due to the balloon type construction of the home, crew's encountered fire on all three levels. Crews put a good knock on the fire but an extensive overhaul of the structure was required. Crews operated for approx 3 1/2 hours.
