On July 24, 2010 at 8:51PM, Hughesville Fire and EMS and surrounding companies were alerted to Leonardtown Road in the area of All American Harley for the motorcycle accident. Engine 22 (Eckstein), Ambulance 28 (Dofflemyer) and Paramedic Ambulance 27 all responded at dispatch with 8 personnel. EMS Duty 16B was also at Station 2 and responded at dispatch. All units arrived to find a passenger car versus a motorcycle, with the motorcyclist suffering life threatening injuries. A medevac helicopter was requested to the scene and Maryland State Police Trooper 2 responded. The patient was medevaced to an area trauma center and no other patients required transport. Engine 22 handled the landing site on the scene. Engine 22 cleared at 9:51PM.
