On April 23rd at approximately 1500 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to St Mary’s County on the 2nd Alarm for a Commercial Structure Fire on Usher Ln. Engine 22, Engine Tanker 2 and Chief 2A made the response. Upon arrival Engine 22 was assigned to assist brush units with a brush fire that began as a result of the structure. On April 23rd at approximately 1347 hours, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Flagstaff Place in Waldorf for the structure fire. Squad 2 and Battalion Chief 2A made the response. Waldorf VFD units arrived on scene to find a working fire. Squad 2 arrived on scene and was directed to conduct a search of the exposures. Once complete squad 2 was released from the scene. On April 13th at midnight, Hughesville Volunteers along with Waldorf VFD and the North Medical Duty Officer were alerted to Leonardtown Road and Wolfe Drive, in Hughesville for the motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. On March 31st at approximately 11pm, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to Prince Frederick Road and Siesta Fields Place for the motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped. Squad 2, Battalion 2C and Paramedic Ambulance 27 made the response from Hughesville. Squad 2 arrived on scene to find a 2 vehicle collision with 1 subject trapped and a total of 13 patients. On March 16th at approximately 649PM, Hughesville Volunteers were alerted to Old Leonardtown Road for the motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Squad 2 and Paramedic Ambulance 28 made the response. Units arrived on scene and located the operator of the motorcycle deceased from injuries he sustained. On 3/12/2024 at approximately 1405 hours, Hughesville Volunteers and surrounding departments were alerted to the 15300 block of Woodville Road for the structure fire. Chief 2A, Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2 and engine 22 responded. Engine Tanker 2 and Chief 2A arrived to find the trailer portion of a tractor trailer fully involved. The trailer was being used as storage.
